First time reading this author and I loved it!!!
I liked this book was inspired to read each page I would suggest reading more from Joya Ryan!
While this book is a standalone, I must say I really love this series. These Search and Rescue guys are seriously sexy! Definitely swoon worthy! Dex is an emotionally damaged man who has grown up thinking he isn’t a forever kind of guy for woman with an upper class pedigree. Michelle is on a mission to find her inner badass and be self-sufficient, away from the life she knew of money and wealth. Michelle needs Dex to teach her how to do that and Dex needs Michelle for his job. What they don’t expect is the fireworks that explode when they started down this road. Dex brings out a side of Michelle she didn’t know existed and Michelle sooths a part of Dex he didn’t know ached. I loved this couple and their story so much. It was a steamy book with some really good humor. In my opinion a 5 star read for sure! Loved it!

These two characters were an absolute joy to read and get to know. I loved the challenge between them and the way they just loved through their "hate" of one another. There is a fine line between love and hate; these two showed how fine that line really is from their initial hate for one another to the love under the surface they refused to see.
I love this author and have read almost everything she has written. This one was probably my least favorite. For some reason I just did not feel the connection between Dex and Michelle like I normally do with this authors characters. The sex scenes were hot (as always) but other than that I just felt the story was a bit one dimensional and I was relieved that it was short because I was losing interest towards the end.
This was another hot, sexy, lighthearted Brazen book. I’ve enjoyed most of the books put out by Brazen, especially those by Joya Ryan. I really need to check out some of her other work because she definitely knows what she’s doing. She knows how to write sexy men, smart women and melting sexy times. I really liked Dex and Michelle. Their opposites attract romance was fun to watch and oh boy did they have serious chemistry.
I would definitely recommend checking this series out. Although I read the series slightly out of order, I’m going back to read the first book and will definitely continue on to read the third. I loved what I saw of the other characters in the series and I cannot wait to see how their romances play out.
